Car enthusiasts, mark your calendars! On January 6th, from 7:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., Wellen Park, Foxtail Coffee, and the Venice AACA Car Club invite you to an informal gathering at Wellen Park. 35th Annual Gulf Coast Games for Life (January 9 – February 3, 2024)
For the sporty souls aged 50 and over, the Gulf Coast Games for Life is the place to be. Running from January 9 to February 3, this multi-sport event features 16 different activities, from archery and golf to swimming and table tennis. Compete, have fun, and perhaps qualify for the Florida Senior Games State Championship. With a one-time registration fee of $13 and entry fees per event, it’s an excellent way to stay active and engaged.

Sarasota Winter Carnival (January 11 – 15, 2024)
The Sarasota Winter Carnival returns to The Mall at UTC from January 11 to 15. Located in parking lot 4, the carnival offers over 20 rides, games, and delectable food options. Entry is free, and you can purchase ride tickets online or at on-site booths. Enjoy the festivities from Thursday to Monday at various times and make lasting memories with family and friends.

Sarasota Marathon (January 13, 2024)

From January 23 to 26, aviation enthusiasts can explore iconic aircraft, including the B-25 Mitchell, B-24 Liberator, and P-51 Mustang. Walk-through tours are available for a fee, and World War II veterans receive complimentary ground tour access. Flight experiences are also offered before and after the tours.

9th Annual Sarasota Seafood & Music Festival (January 26 – 28, 2024)
Round off the month with a feast for the senses at the 9th Annual Sarasota Seafood & Music Festival. Held in JD Hamel Park in downtown Sarasota from January 26 to 28, this event combines live music performances with a delectable array of fresh onsite foods, from seafood and meats to vegetarian options.
